Aoi Huber Kono Aoi Huber Kono was born in Tokyo in 1936. Daughter of the Japanese graphic designer Takashi Kono and an extremely modern copy-writer, she grew up in a creative and stimulating environment. After art high school he graduated from the University of Art and Music in Tokyo. In 1960, with a stay in Stockholm where he studied graphics, his European life began. In '61 she moved to Milan and began to collaborate with Max Huber, who would become her husband. In 1970 Max and Aoi moved to the Canton of Ticino. Experimenting with combinations of signs and color tests, Aoi manifested a unique personal style from the beginning. In addition to exhibiting her work in many countries, Aoi designs designs for ceramics, toys, fabrics and carpets. In 1979 he met Angelo Tenchio from Como who became his teacher in the engraving technique. From 1979 to the early 1990s Aoi dedicated part of his artistic research to the world of engraving and exhibited his works internationally.
