Imer Guala was born on June 3 in Cossato (Biella). In 1945 he occasionally followed, where it happens, in Biella in Rialmosso di Balma, lessons from the painter Luigi Boffa Tarlatta, already a teacher at the Albertina Academy in Turin. The following year he participated with three paintings in the national Young Painters exhibition at the Leonardo da Vinci Gallery in Biella. He was awarded 1st prize. He traveled through Uganda, Kenya and Tanganyika with a drawing album. Upon returning to Italy he was hosted by his painter friend Foiso Fois from Cagliari. He painted canvases which, completed in the studio, were exhibited in the personal exhibition at the Galérie Montauti in Nice in 1959 presented in the catalog by Claude Marais. The exhibition achieved considerable success and Guala remained in France, between Nice and Paris, until the middle of 1963. In 2007 he created ''La Parigina'' - 2-color etching for Citroën. Hand drawn in 1/200 copies by Davide Pedroli of the Milan Engraving Centre. Imer Guala signs and designs a ''set of two coffee cups'' for the 60th anniversary of Eco di Biella (2008 subscription campaign).
