Ignacio Farrés Iquino was born in Valls in 1910. In 1934 he founded the company Emisora ​​Films to develop his own films and films made by others. The company's first film was "Al margen de la ley" (1935). After the civil war he made popular productions such as "Los ladrones somos gente honrada" (1942). He showed his peculiar version of the crime genre with "Brigada criminal" (1950). He combined this type of film with other patriotic films such as "Noche sin cielo" (1947), and others with religious and existential themes. He tried to adapt to the new models of the sector by making the most of the boom in Italian-Spanish western co-productions. During the democratic transition he began making pornography. He died in Barcelona in 1994.
