Giovanni Iudice was born in Gela in 1970. He currently lives and works in his hometown as a self-taught painter and designer. Since his early works, Iudice has been noted for his technical ability, which allows him to observe objects, people, situations and natural phenomena in a precise and almost scientific way. At the center of his artistic journey there has always been the representation of the human being in his daily dimension, through pencil drawings and oil paintings, following an expressive vocation aimed at investigating the multiple facets of reality.
Iudice's paintings represent with extreme objectivity the people and environments that surround him in his beloved Sicily, with particular attention in recent years to refugees, immigrants and illegal immigrants. Thanks to the delicacy and depth that distinguish his works, Iudice is able to elaborate a reality that strongly characterizes the present, in particular the Italian coasts.
