Julia Jacquette Biography
Julia Jacquette (born 1964) is an American artist based primarily in New York and Amsterdam. Jacquette studied at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY (1986) and Hunter College in New York City (1989-92). Jacquette's work has been exhibited widely in galleries and museums around the world, including Holly Solomon Gallery in New York, David Klein Gallery in Birmingham, MI, MoMA in New York and Galerie Oliver Schweden in Munich Bavaria, Germany. Her work is featured in numerous prestigious collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum in Providence, RI, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Australia, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He is a member of the board of directors of the MacDowell art colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
