Allen Jones (Southampton, 1 September 1937) is a British sculptor and pop artist. Lives and works in London. Jones was born in Southampton and studied at the Hornsey College of Art (London) from 1955 to 1961. In 1960 he was expelled from the Royal College of Art, from 1961 to 1963 he taught at Croydon College of Art. His exhibition of erotic sculptures, such as Chair, Table and Coat Rack (1969), focuses on furniphilia: his female subjects they transform into human furnishing elements. Much of his work draws on the imagery of fetishism, the passion for latex and BDSM. The Korova Milkbar sculptures from the film A Clockwork Orange were inspired by Jones' works, after he rejected Stanley Kubrick's request to design the film without compensation. Jones designed the 1975 film Maîtresse directed by Barbet Schroeder. In 1986 he was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy.
