Marcello Jori was born in Merano in 1951. He arrived in Bologna at the beginning of the 70s and, contrary to an academic preparation, he chose to conclude his classical studies at the Faculty of Art History, where he met Renato Barilli who in 1977 would be the curator of his first photographic exhibition at the De'Foscherari Gallery in Bologna. He immediately began his surgical work on the body and soul of the artist, on his work. The missing artist and the living artist.
