Thorsten Kirchhoff is a Danish artist born in 1960 but has lived and worked in Italy since 1984. He participated in the Venice Biennale in 1990 and 1993, the Valencia Biennale in 2001 and the Milan Triennale in 2011. In 2012 he was invited to the Beijing Biennale. He has exhibited in numerous museums around the world, including Graz, Lyon, Copenhagen, Hanoi, Tel Aviv, Bolzano and Nuoro. He has collaborated with various Italian galleries, including Sperone, De Carlo and Alberto Peola. His work is based on the processing of cinematographic images to create multimedia works, paintings and sound works. Kirchhoff has received positive reviews from art critics such as Angelo Capasso, Achille Bonito Oliva, Cristiana Perrella, Luca Beatrice and Tommaso Pincio.
