Franz Joseph Klein (Wilkes-Barre, May 23, 1910 – New York, May 13, 1962) was an American painter and one of the greatest representatives of the informal.

From 1935 to 1938 he attended Girard College Orphanage College, Boston University and the Heatherley School of Art in London. From 1956 to 1962 he spent time painting in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he would die of rheumatic heart disease in New York. Read the full biography
