Berthold Klinghofer Biography
Berthold Klinghofer (Păltinoasa, 20 May 1899 – Milan, 1975) was a Romanian painter of Jewish origin. After his university studies he attended the Academy of Vienna, the "Grand Chaumiere" Academy of Paris, the Albertina Academy of Turin and the Brera Academy in Milan. He participated in various artistic exhibitions, including: Collective exhibitions of the Permanente of Milan (from 1959 to 1968), Collective exhibitions at the Società Artisti e Patriottica (Milan, from 1959 to 1962), Biennale di Milano, "Family Artistic Milanese" Award in Milan (1961, 1962), National Award Castelletto Ticino (1963), Group exhibition at the Modern Art Center in Zurich (1965), UIL USAIBA Exhibition at Palazzo Reale, Milan (1964,1965), Rosetum Prize, Milan (1965,1966), Mostra della Resistenza, Milan (1966) where his work " Sadoma e Gomorrah" was awarded, Exhibition "The woman of today in painting" Milan (1968). She held exhibitions in Romania at Cernauti (1938,1939,1940) and in Bucharest (1939); Galleria Europa (1964) Milan ; Levi Gallery (1970) Milan.
