Jenő Koszkol, also known as Koskol, was born on April 30, 1968 in Dorog. Koszkol was a Hungarian painter who attended the Royal Model Design School, following the lessons of János Greguss, Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz. He painted for a long time in Italy, Germany and North Africa. Starting in the 1920s, he painted in his home village and nearby Esztergom, often focusing on depicting parts of the city. He was also an illustrator for Ottó Herman's ethnographies and received numerous awards starting from 1896. Koszkol died on 17 March 1935 in Budapest.
