Hungarian architect and illustrator (Kiskorpád, Somogy, 1884 - Budapest 1948). Author of illustrations and ex libris (plates for Találkozás hamupipökével by B. Révész, 1909), he also designed furniture, taking inspiration first from Hungarian folk art and then appropriating baroque stylistic features. Since 1913 prof. in the Budapest school of industrial design, he founded the Budapest Laboratory (Budapesti műhely). His activity then developed towards a search for logical and essential architectural structures ("Glass House" in Budapest, 1935).
