Milan Kunc was born in Prague in 1944. Here he attended the Academy of Fine Arts from 1964 to 1967. In 1969 he moved to Germany. From 1970 to 1975 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf to follow the lessons of Joseph Beuys and Gerhard Richter. These are the years of the Normal Group with Knap and Angermann. Participates in the XI Paris Biennial. In the 1980s he achieved international fame by living and exhibiting in Cologne, Rome, New York and Den Haag. Many of his works are present in important European museums. In 2004 he returned to Prague where he still lives and works today.
