Ivan Kurach (Serdyca, Ukraine, 26 March 1909 - January 1968) is a Ukrainian painter. He studied in the academies of Lviv, Warsaw and Berlin, and participated in the national exhibitions in Vienna, Berlin and Warsaw. He then moved to Italy, living first in Rome, where he resumed his studies at Ferruccio Ferrazzi's school, then in Milan, where he completed courses at the Brera Academy under the guidance of Giuseppe Palanti. In the following years he taught at Brera and in 1936 he obtained Italian citizenship. In January 1942, one of his solo shows was hosted in Rome by the Foreign Student Center of the GUF, dedicated "to the memory of the sister and brothers who fell for the freedom of Ukraine" (De Concini, 1942). Also in January, the Galleria Rotta in Genoa exhibits forty-two works by the artist.
