Karl Lagasse (1981 - ) born in Paris in 1981, is a French artist and sculptor.
As a young man he began practicing plastic arts, in particular collages, and subsequently explored other means of expression, creating many graffiti in the Paris subway. It is under the guidance of the artist Yvaral (1934-2002) that he is preparing to integrate his tags into his collages.
Lagasse sold his first work at the age of 15 and prepared his first exhibition in Paris, exhibiting works that mixed the techniques of painting and collage.
He had his first solo exhibition in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels, where he presented his famous "Buildings". Read the full biography

He had his first solo exhibition in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels, where he presented his famous "Buildings". But his notoriety came in 2009, thanks to his "One Dollar" sculptures, for which he was classified among the ten best sculptors in the world under 30 by Artprice.
Karl Lagasse's works are inspired by the American world and are the result of his admiration for the United States. His sculptures are made in red, blue, purple or even yellow, but retain the unique metallic finish of aluminum.
On the occasion of the 2016 Art Paris Art Fair his work "One Dollar", a two meter high bronze sculpture, is exhibited at the Grand Palais.
