Mario Lanzione Biography
Mario lanzione, born in S.Egidio del MA (Sa), studied at the Art School of Salerno and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He is a teacher of pictorial disciplines at the Liceo Artistico of Benevento. Engaged in the sector of abstract painting, he has participated in personal and collective exhibitions since 1975 and undertakes study trips to the major European cities. He is the creator of international "Mail/Art" exhibitions and gives life to numerous performances where painting, sculpture, music, poetry and theater blend into a single artistic expression. Lanzione's artistic activity is followed by critics: Crispolti, Fizio, Crescentini, Venturoli, Agnisola, Pinto, Corbi, Calabrese, Scontrino, Segato, Battarra, Romano, Caroli, Meneguzzo, Maiorino, Manganelli, Vitiello, Civita, Carnemolla, De Felice, Gasbarrini, Izzo, Notte, Montano, Iovino, Giannì, Tafuri, Pratesi, and Alfano. With exhibitions in Istanbul, Miami, at the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, at the Museo Municipal de arte de Mendoza in San Juan, at the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires, in some cities in Slovenia, in Salzburg, in Innsbruck, in Zurich Mario Lanzione's artistic career is published, among others, by: Enrico Crispolti - “Electa” publishing house, and “Mazzotta”, Milan; Luigi Paolo Fizio – publisher “Mazzotta”, Milan“ and IGEI”, Naples; Rosario Pinto - “Liguori” and “IGEI” publishing house, Naples; Antonio Gasbarrini - “Angelus Novus” publisher, L'Aquila; Mario Maiorino - “IGEI” publisher, Naples; Vitaliano Corbi - “Paparo” publishing house, Naples. He creates installations for public and private bodies and his works appear in museums and art collections. Since 2012, with the international contemporary art fair of Bari and with the collective on the historical paths of art in Campania (from 1950 to 2010) it has been part of the Artestudio-gallery of Benevento.
