Gustave François Lasellaz was a painter and watercolourist, best known for his skill in gallant scenes. Born in 1848 and passed away in 1910, Lasellaz was a pupil of Lequien and exhibited his works at the famous Salon of French Artists in Paris. In 1883, he was made a member of this prestigious institute. Lasellaz worked for Maison Rodien, a company that produced fans on rue Cambon in Paris. His works have been exhibited in major museums around the world, including the Palais Galliera and the Musée de l'éventail in Paris. Lasellaz died in 1910.
