François-Théodore Legras, (27 December 1839 - Paris, 2 August 1916), was a French master glassmaker. At the age of 20 he joined a glass factory near his native village. At the age of 24, he left his native Vosges to work in the Plaine Saint-Denis glassworks in Saint-Denis, near Paris, where he was hired as a night clerk. Six months later, he became production manager, then built a new modern factory and a workers' town which over the years became an industrial complex of almost 20,000 square meters. He became CEO of Legras et Cie, then of Verrerie et Cristallerie de Saint-Denis. He participates in many national and international exhibitions in which he is often awarded. He was also responsible for the glass and glassware portion of the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1900.
