Milo Lombardo (1941 - ) was born in Barletta in 1941. A countryman of Giuseppe De Nittis, an impressionist painter of the 19th century, he began to paint as a boy. Having moved to Milan he was able to enroll in the free Nude Academy. From the initial classical figurative, he moves on to the clarification period which lasts until 1975. From then to today he continues with the pictorial discourse of a modern individualistic figurative. At the same time as the pictorial discourse, Milo also continued the sculptural one because his initial paintings were material. He has more than one hundred and fifty personal exhibitions to his credit in Italy and abroad, among which we remember February 1998 Personal exhibition at the American Consulate General at the invitation of the US Consul General of Milan; 6 May 1999 inauguration of the personal exhibition on a national scale at the EXcelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan, where 40 works commissioned by the Consulate General of the State of the Kingdom of Morocco were presented, at the invitation of His Majesty King Assan II and the Consul General of the Maghrebi Consulate of Milan. Many public and private administrations (Churches, Municipalities, Museums) have commissioned pictorial and sculptural works from him; some of them are visible in the province of Milan. In addition to presenting personal exhibitions, Milo has participated for years in the major international contemporary art fairs including: Miart in Milan, Expo in Bari, Expo in Vicenza and Expo in Padua.
