Ugo Lombardo Biography
Ugo Lombardo (1922 - 2001) born and lived in Genoa, was an engraver, painter and sculptor known above all for the creation of views of old Genoa using the etching and drypoint techniques. He is the author of landscapes, flowers and figures. In the last years of his life he concentrated on the symbolic value of representation. Some exhibitions are worth mentioning: Galleria Rotta. Genoa, 1959: Bartenor Gallery, Genoa, 1967; Carresi Gallery, Rome, 1972; Liguria Gallery, Genoa, 1979; Guidi Gallery, Genoa, 1981; Giordano Gallery, Genoa, 1986; Galleria Melograno, Genoa, 1987. Participates in the first art exhibition of Ligurian engravers in Genoa in 1989; at the Italian-American Association in Genoa in 1989 then at the Galleria Liguria, Genoa, 1991.
