Giovanni Lorenzetti (1952 - ) was born in Lucca where he lives and works. His painting is linked to the tradition of the great figurative masters from the point of view of thematic choices and pictorial quality. His works are preserved in public and private galleries and collections in Italy and abroad. He produced works for the Vatican Palaces (in particular the painting of Santa Bona, delivered in 2002 to John Paul II), a portrait of Senator Luciano Modica and a painting of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, for the church of Alba Cuneo. One of his paintings is preserved in the Vatican Museums alongside the greats of all time, such as Michelangelo and Raphael.
