Lorenzo Forges Davanzati, born in 1929, obtained his degree in architecture in 1954 after completing high school. In collaboration with the architect Piero de Amicis, president of the Order of Architects for many years, he founded the GPA (Gruppo Progettisti Associati). His professional activity extends to the fields of private, public and industrial construction, renovations and restorations, but also in the design of public spaces such as car parks and squares. Furthermore, he dedicates himself to the design of interior furnishings and furniture. His activity as an architect is concentrated in the Lombardy region, in particular in Milan. One of his most valuable collaborators was Fausto Colombo for many years. In 2004, he was awarded the Compasso d'Oro for the Boma shelter, a waiting shelter designed in collaboration with Fausto Colombo for the Urban Furnishings Consortium.
