Like many of his contemporaries, Løvig Nielsen prefers high-quality woods such as teak, rosewood, and walnut, and his works with supple and organic shapes are often enriched with twisted legs, and other equally discreet but elegant details. One of his most popular designs is the so-called Boomerang desk (circa 1956) with its L shape and brass details. Although not well known in his time, Løvig Nielsen and his designs have been rediscovered in the 21st century on the vintage market, also as they are very easily recognizable thanks to the clarity of his brand - “Løvig” or “Hedensted Møbelfabrik” from the Danish village where were produced - accompanied by the year of production.
