Marco Luccio Biography

Marco Luccio (1969 - ) Born in Benevento in the province of Naples in 1969, Luccio arrived in Australia in 1974. He obtained an honors degree in Printmaking from RMIT Melbourne after completing the first year of his degree at the Warnambool Institute in 1989 He has had 50 solo exhibitions, has been selected and exhibited in over 208 group, curated and award-winning exhibitions and has received several commissions including the City of Melbourne Bus Stop programme. Luccio has also had several solo exhibitions in New York, including twice at the Australian Consulate, as well as in commercial galleries and curated exhibitions in New York. Luccio's work is represented in 42 public and corporate collections, including The New York Public Library, The Museum of the City of New York, The New York Historical Society, The National Gallery of Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, The State Library of Victoria and The City of Melbourne. In addition to this Lucci has completed artist residencies and study trips to New York, Paris, Italy and Australia. His work is also represented in many other publications, including a feature and cover of Maree Coote's 'The Art of Being Melbourne' in 2012 and a feature in Dr Colin Holden's 'Piranesi's Grandest Tour' in 2014.
