Francesco Magli is an artist born in Aiello Calabro in 1945. He chose to dedicate himself to art from a young age, leaving his hometown to settle in Milan, in the Isola district, in the 1960s. Here he had the opportunity to study and work with important art masters such as Ibrahim Kodra, Nicola Gianmarino, Pippo Spinoccia and Raffaele De Grada.
Maggi is known for being the architect of the "Poetic Revolt", an artistic movement that aims to carry out a revolt "without weapons, only with poetry". His art is characterized by the depth and beauty of his works, which often tell stories and reflect on the great questions of human existence.
In 1986, Maggi gained great national fame when he decided to paint the gray panettoni, transforming them into an instrument of free creativity. This gesture had the aim of "giving color and warmth" to a common object, with great traditional and cultural values.
