Edmondo Maneglia (1925 - 2003) was a painter from Turin born in Koziu, Turkey, in 1925 and passed away in 2003. His favorite subjects are urban views and scenes of city life, but also still lifes. His style is based on Post-Impressionism of Cezannian origin, although at times it reaches the heights of Expressionism. In his works the artist uses a remarkably pictorial approach that breaks down the shapes of objects, connoting vibrations that are at the same time atmospheric and existential. In this type of interpretation, the color plays a decisive role, which is applied with dense brushstrokes which, by overlapping, describe the volumes and spaces.
