Giovanni Manfredini Biography
Giovanni Manfredini (1963 - ) was born in Pavullo nel Frignano, in the province of Modena, in 1963. He held personal exhibitions in Madrid, Naples, Milan, Rome, Berlin, Basel, Bern, London, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and participated in numerous exhibitions collective, both private and institutional, as well as at the 54th Venice Biennale, at the MoMA PS1 (New York), at the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), at the SMAK (Ghent), at the Kaiserdome in Frankfurt, at the Kunstmuseum in Bonn (Germany), at Fukuyama Museum of Art (Japan), at the Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna (Italy) and at the MART in Trento and Rovereto (Italy). His works were exhibited alongside those of Caravaggio in the Cerasi Chapel in Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome during the 56th Venice Biennale. He also presented Stabat Mater Dolorosa with the soundtrack created for the opera by Ennio Morricone at the Giorgio Cini Foundation (Island of San Giorgio Maggiore). He currently lives and works in Pavullo nel Frignano (MO).
