(Nicastro, 11 May 1896 – Florence, 8 April 1975) Calabrian by birth, he matured his vocation to art in Florence where he met Marinetti and his new movement. He joined it and deepened it with European experiences, making it a propulsive and conclusive choice of life and artistic experience. In 1932 he created the Independent Futurist Movement, of which he was the undisputed leader, presented in "Futurist Supremacy", a manifesto of the "Independent Futurist Groups" accepted and recognized by Marinetti himself. At the end of the world war, which upset his life as a man and an artist but did not dampen his futurist flame, he resumed his artistic research in Rome. He closed all his experiences and passed away in Florence in 1975.
