Ferdinand Louis Marks Artwork valuations, appraisals and auction estimates

Ferdinand Louis Marks, painter and watercolourist, was born in 1861 in Bayeux and spent most of his life in Metz, where he lived and worked as an artist. He was the brother of Albert Marks, also a famous painter, and father of Ferdinand, also a painter.
Marks was fortunate to exhibit his work at the Paris Salon between 1884 and 1891, as well as at the Salon de Metz in 1930, where he presented ten paintings. Read the full biography

Ferdinand Louis Marks, painter and watercolourist, was born in 1861 in Bayeux and spent most of his life in Metz, where he lived and worked as an artist. He was the brother of Albert Marks, also a famous painter, and father of Ferdinand, also a painter.
Marks was fortunate to exhibit his work at the Paris Salon between 1884 and 1891, as well as at the Salon de Metz in 1930, where he presented ten paintings. Furthermore, he participated every year in the GAM (Groupement des Artistes Mosellans). Marks died in Boulogne sur Mer in 1943.
