Vito Marmo (1948 - ) is an artist from Salerno. Since he was a child, he cultivated a passion for art that he discovered in his family, thanks to the teachings of his sculptor grandfather. Initially self-taught, the artist then attended courses where he learned manual skills and from his first figuration he then moved on to search for his own language which distinguishes him today. Originally from Salerno, the artist is very fond of his native land and maintains its colors and scents. His paintings are full of vitality, they are optimistic, sunny and joyful. In his canvases, reality mixes with fantasy, giving life to dreamlike visions where the architecture curves at the corners and takes on bright, ringing tones. His painting is contaminated by cubist influence but also by pop art, especially with regards to chromatic choices.
