Pietro Masson Biography
Pietro Masson was born in Rome in 1941 and graduated in architecture from the "La Sapienza" University of Rome in 1967. From a young age, he began working in the family business, MALATESTA & MASSON, which at the time had more than 300 employees specialized in different sectors, such as carpentry, upholstery, painting, sculpture, ceramics and related technologies. This experience allowed him to experiment and subsequently verify the aesthetic-functional possibilities of materials such as wood, marble, stone, metal and glass, studying the different processing, finishing, coloring and coupling techniques.
His interventions have focused on numerous and important residential projects both in Italy and abroad, offices, professional studios and private boats. From 1978 to 1989, he also designed furniture that was selected to be displayed at the renowned Salone del Mobile in Milan.
