Born in Milan in 1939 where he lives and works. In 1963 he graduated in painting and in 1966 in sculpture at the Brera Academy. Since the mid-1960s he has focused his research on the use and possibilities of synthetic materials. He creates works (the Abandons) destined to be abandoned in the environment as artificial interferences. The A. to A. bring this concept to urban centers, together with the Reappropriations. Mazzucchelli's enormous A. to A. inflatables interact with the places, arousing the amazement of the public, while the Reappropriations filter the environment and propose a different vision of it. From the 1960s to today Mazzucchelli has participated in numerous exhibitions such as the 1976 Venice Biennale, various editions of the Milan Triennale and the Rome Quadrennial. In recent years he has also created several personal exhibitions, i.e. performances in which the artist becomes the only spectator of the work.
