Patrizia Merendi (1954 - ) is an artist of Florentine origins. In the last decade she is known for having curated innovative projects for the artistic valorisation of various places of worship through the installation of stained glass windows made with various processing techniques such as glass fusion and grisailles painting. Merendi, born in Bologna in 1954, graduated at the Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in the same city. Initially she dedicated herself to teaching and at the same time to pictorial and graphic research; subsequently he experimented with various techniques and modes of expression: oil painting, mixed techniques, watercolour, finally preferring pastel for its tonal qualities and chromatic mixture. In 1997 the artist left teaching to dedicate himself completely to his symbolic expressive research, adding a new sculptural experimentation with glass fusions of large-scale works.
