SILVIO MERLINO was born in Naples in 1952. With the AMBULANTI group he was an early protagonist of those decisive 70s for artistic culture in Naples and Italy. Musician, actor, SILVIO MERLINO experiments with art in contact with people through individual performances and collective actions. With enormous wings (the man with wings, via Caracciolo, Naples 1976), he overlooks the sea of ​​Naples and in '89 flies away to Treviso where he has lived and worked for over 20 years and is among the "MASTERS of TERRAE MOTUS" , the permanent exhibition commissioned by LUCIO AMELIO who exhibited his works in '89 and '95. It was at the Venice Biennale in '76, '84 and '93; it is on display at Toselli; by Massimo Minini from Sibernalg; and Nohara Haime to name a few. He has been painting since he was a child (mixed media on canvas) portraying a marmoset attached to transfusions of primary colours, it is the emblematic image of MERLIN who has painting in his blood.
