In 1930, Angelo Meroni founded an artisan business specializing in the production of furniture in Arosio. Subsequently, in the 1950s, he also opened a shop in Milan. Twenty years later, a significant change occurs in the company, when the decision is made to start a more organized industrial production. For this purpose, Angelo Mangiarotti was commissioned to design a cutting-edge headquarters in Alzate Brianza. Lema was the first Italian company to develop and produce integrated furniture systems, managing the entire production cycle, from the reception of raw materials to packaging.
