Mario Micheletti was born in Balzola Monferrato (Alessandria), on 10 March 1892, to Antonio, municipal secretary, and Silvia Giardino. After his classical studies at the Salesian institute S. Giovannino in Turin he enrolled at the Albertina Academy, where already in 1915 he was considered a prodigy student of G. Grosso. Micheletti had an intense exhibition activity, which began with his participation in the Promotrice of Turin in 1913. Most of his works are found in private collections.
