Luigi Milani Biography

Biography Born in 1957 in Frassinelle Polesine (Rovigo). Craftsman in the designer sector and in the production of works for home finishing, which he carries out with scrupulous precision, Luigi Milani has always been drawn to painting as a creative need, in 1990 he had a partial turning point which led him to dedicate more time to his artistic passion, he initially painted female portraits of pop and metropolitan inspiration. In 2002, he met an art critic, who made him aware of his qualities to the point of dedicating himself to painting full time. He sells the company and dedicates himself to his passion. Since 2008 he has concentrated on the informal using parts of bicycle tires with which he manages to embellish and transform a simple material into a lace reminiscent of a Persian carpet, where harmony, balance and a sense of color enchant. Participates in the "Arte" prize in 2002 among the finalists with a portrait of a woman. In 2004 he participated in the "la Vela d'Argento" competition in Marina di Ravenna, winning first prize with the work entitled "Marina di Ravenna" (portrait of a girl on the beach sitting on a towel, dedicated to Alighiero Boetti.) In 2008 participates again in the "Arte" award with the work entitled "Bicycle Thieves" qualifying again among the finalists. Today we can rightfully count Luigi MILANI among the artists of POOR ARTE.
