Born in 1967 in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. She lives and works in Toscolano on Lake Garda. In her work, Beatriz Millar deals with the theme of the duality between form and substance, between truth and the artificial reality of everyday life. Highlighting an illusory everyday life made up of alarming superficialities, the artist denounces with his art the profound imbalance of our world. The "sensual" man of this last century has allowed the most illusory of the senses - sight - to lead his life. The artist's spirit rebels against Western society based on appearance. The use of ephemeral expedients in the challenge against time, the exaltation of the materialistic sense of life and its consumption are analyzed in his work, highlighting, ironically, its precariousness and vanity.
