Renato Missaglia Biography
Renato Missaglia (1946 - ) was born in Chiari (Bs) in 1946 and today lives in Gussago (Bs). He began his career as an entrepreneur, but since 1979 he has dedicated himself exclusively to art. Eclectic and original, his technique combines painting and photography. A great artist, but also and above all a passionate communicator, he has the ability to make his works full of meaning and dreamlike suggestions. In 1987 and 1991 he was invited to the Salon d'Autômne (Grand Palais in Paris). In 1991 he presented a solo exhibition in Hong Kong with works relating to the sets and costumes of Verdi's Aida. In 1992 he took part in the first Paris-Moscow-Beijing rally: the pictorial and photographic works, created during and after the rally, were shown in numerous traveling exhibitions in Italy and abroad and, as a preview, in February 1993, in Paris in the Pyramide du Louvre. In the following years he exhibited in Rome, Milan, Brescia, Bologna, Sondrio, Perugia, Lecce, New York, Monaco, Hong Kong, Brussels, Geneva, Vienna, Tokyo, Lisbon, Basel, Al-Khobar, Monte-Carlo. Since 2011 Missaglia has been permanently present in the offices of the Italian Investment Fund (Milan and Rome) and of Abi (Italian Banking Association, Milan) with personal exhibitions where several of his pictorial cycles are represented, while in 2012 he entered the permanent collection of the Rome Foundation.
