Piero Moda (1949 - ) was born in Rovigo in 1949. As a young man he attended the studio of the master sculptor Zancanaro and at the age of 50 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. His first works date back to the age of twelve and his journey into The world of art initially ranges from impressionism to the great artistic movements of the 20th century. Activist at a socio-cultural level of the movement that developed in "68", he finds himself personally experiencing the great social battles. Precisely in this period Moda moved to Rome and came into contact with the Roman artistic currents, knowing and frequenting artists such as: Schifano, Angeli, Festa and then working closely with Renato Guttuso. From here begins a path of vigorous study activity. Since the 1970s, Moda has taken back all the knowledge it had gained up to then and is turning its interest in particular towards experimentation and research which will indeed lead it towards the informal, but will also tend to keep it jealously attached to knowledge and appreciation of figurative art. From here various pictorial cycles linked to the human figure evolve and take shape, in Venice, collage and photography, landscapes experienced both informally and figuratively, in which he narrates and translates his life story.
