Faustini, Modesto. - Italian painter (Brescia 1839 - Rome 1891). He studied at Brera and perfected his skills in Rome, where he came under the influence of C. Maccari. Initially a genre and history painter, he later dedicated himself mainly to religious painting, taking inspiration from the fifteenth century artists (fresco cycles in S. Maria delle Grazie and S. Giovanni Evangelista in Brescia, in the Loreto cathedral, etc.).
