Anacleto (Cleto) Moiraghi, born in Binasco in 1889, was a landscape painter inspired by post-impressionism. He began studying by attending the studios of Emilio Quadrelli and the painter Giuseppe Mentessi. The predominant theme of his painting is the sea, lake and mountain landscape. His works, which depict the ports of many Italian cities, especially that of Genoa, are highly appreciated and focus on the individual vibrations of light on objects, following the impressionist technique. Moiraghi also dealt with social issues related to the world of work, especially rice fields and rice weeders. His art is characterized by small paintings, whose representation of work and effort capture the public's attention. Moiraghi exhibited frequently at the Permanente in Milan and at the Galleria del Tritone in Rome. He died in Milan in 1943.
