Mario Molinari (1930 - 2001), born in Coazze (Turin), on 9 March 1930, began working as a manager of the Sertorio paper mill in his hometown. After taking a three-year course in Drawing from Raffaele Pontecorvo, he created a style made of pure sculptural essence. His sculpture “in adding” is aimed at stimulating the soul, with a touch of irony. The multifaceted nature of his creations and the materials he uses bring the language to its maximum expression, eliminating any border with the fourth dimension. During his career, since the beginning of the Sixties, he has found his place within the "Surfanta" current, a branch of the surrealist trend. His colored concrete creations populate galleries, foundations and museums but above all they can be placed as public installations.
