Niels Otto Moller Biography
Niels Otto Moller, born in Denmark in 1920, began his training as a wood craftsman in 1939, before furthering his studies in the field of design in Arhus. In 1944 he founded JLMollers Mobelfabrik, a company specializing in the design of furniture characterized by simple, timeless curves, made using strict manufacturing techniques. The company has obtained prestigious awards, such as the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and again in 1981. JLMollers Mobelfabrik continues to produce furniture of great beauty, still maintaining the qualification of a family business, with the management entrusted to Jorgen Henrik Moller, son of designer Niels Otto Moller. Moller's furniture, made of teak or rosewood, boasts a particular elegance, being representative of the post-war Danish style and standing out for its unparalleled quality. The "Model 75" chairs, in particular, are particularly popular with design admirers.
