Leonardo Montemanni (1971, Asmara, Eritrea) approached painting thanks to his father Giovanni, from whom he learned the rudiments of the visual arts. He attended the Guidizzolo Art Institute, Mantua, and then graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. In 1988 the fateful encounter with Graffiti or "Writing": graffiti that had just landed in Europe represented the eyes of the first pioneers, like Leo, a fascinating and mysterious culture that carried within itself the seeds of a multi-ethnic and cultural vision , underlying an innovative and young expressive code.
