Monti Paolo (Novara, 1908 - Milan, 1982) Paolo Monti graduated in Political Economy and subsequently dedicated himself with ever greater devotion to the hobby of photography. In 1947 he founded the La Gondola club, which soon established itself as an avant-garde movement. Monti subsequently decided to change jobs and return to Milan to dedicate himself to photography. He was chosen as a photographer for the X Triennale, then starting an intense editorial activity, creating services published in magazines and illustrating volumes on cities, artists and architects. In 1979 he collaborated with Einaudi for the creation of the iconographic apparatus of the History of Italian Art. In addition to images of Venice and Milan, the artist also created portraits, landscapes and abstract experiments.
