Carmen Gloria Morales Biography
Carmen Gloria Morales was born in 1942 in Santiago de Chile and lived in various cities such as Milan, Rome, London and New York. From 1969 to 1989 he taught pictorial disciplines in art high schools in Rome and Milan. He held his first solo exhibition in 1965 in Rome and in 1973 he exhibited at the X Quadrennial in Rome and at the Museum of Philadelphia Civic Center.
His production of the Seventies is characterized by the series of Diptychs, consisting of two canvases placed side by side, one completely painted and the other left in its raw state. Starting from the 1980s he began to create Tondi and Projects of altarpieces, works which stand out for their use of bright chromaticism and his interest in the material value of painting.
In 1977 she was invited to participate in Documenta 6 in Kassel.
