Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959 and graduated in Design from Kingston Polytechnic Design School. In 1986 he opened a design studio in London and began exhibiting his work in numerous galleries and art fairs in Europe. He has worked for various companies such as Vitra, Cappellini, Flos, Alessi, Mattiazzi, Samsung, Sony and Olivetti. As he himself states, "the best way to live with our objects is to make them capable of representing us and our way of being with ease, so that they cease to be a status symbol to become good friends". But his talent is also reflected in numerous publications and urban projects, such as the Hanover Tram for which he won the IF Award for Transport Design and the Ecology Award. Jasper Morrison Ltd. today has offices in London and Paris.
