Gianfranco Motton was born in Adria (Rovigo) in 1934. His strong interest in painting led him to Milan, where he settled in 1956. He attended the Brera Academy, under the guidance of Cantatore and Salvadori. In 1956 he was invited to the Triveneta d'Arte in Padua and to the Bevilacqua La Masa, the Venice Biennale for young artists. Since then he has held over 60 solo exhibitions. In 1958 he was invited to Ivrea, where he held a solo show at the Olivetti Cultural Center, and where Comm. Adriano Olivetti commissioned some works from him. He taught ornamentation and drawing at the artistic high school of Busto Arsizio. He collaborated as a set designer at RAI. He has been present at the major national and international art exhibitions. He has obtained important recognition: his works appear in public and private collections.
