Mulas Franco (Rome, 1938) Franco Mulas studied painting at the French Academy in Rome and at the School of Ornamental Art in Rome. He held his first solo exhibition in 1967 in Bari at the “Il Sagittario” Gallery. His works are images of Italians, depicted in the alienating rituals of Sunday highways. The “Weekend” series was followed by the “West” series. The artist has participated in national and international public exhibitions, such as the X and XI Quadrennial of Rome, the XXXIX Venice Biennale. In 1972 he participated together with Baj, Ceroli, Pistoletto, Oldemburg, Schifano, Vedova, Vespignani with 3 works in the great exhibition "Between revolt and revolution, image and project" and in 1981 he was invited to the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome to the exhibition “Art and Criticism”.
